Doesn't sound like any breeding I have ever seen.

From a couple years ago, my old pair of pink skunks spawning, this is what it normally looks like;

In simple explanation.... Breeding is reproduction. Spawning (( in reference to clownfish )), is when the female deposits the eggs on a surface, and the male comes by and fertilizes said eggs. Spawning is a specific term for aquatic breeding --- for lack of a better term.

The eggs will stay on the hard surface until they hatch, they fry will then be on their own. To be able to raise them, they would need to be moved to a separate tank, and specialty food would need to be raised to feed to the fry.
