Hey all, new to keeping corals. I have some frags in a newly cycled i.m 100int.

Cycle complete a month or 2 ago and got 2 ordering some frags with the vision of a mixed reef. Currently using I.O salt and dosing red sea liquid for now but plan to switch to all for reef soon. Lights are 2 hydra 32 on saxby presets.

I bought some favia and jack o lantern leptoseris and not sure where to put it and looking for suggestions. I kinda wanted to save the orange area for acros if I ever make it there.

Would love some suggestions on what to put under the right and left side orange area

Are favia and the jack o lantern better on an island?

So right now my plan is
Yellow-acan garden
Red-mushrooms
Teal-hammers
Dark blue-toadstool leather
White-space invader pectinia
Pink-still empty
Orange-still open(high light)

I'm gonna just answer with the unlikable answer. Don't assume a new build will just go according to a plan. It takes a long time, many months to observe the corals in light, flow, neighbors, algae and 'sanitation'. Good luck.

For new reefers, absolutely. My wife is new to the hobby and has redone her main tank a couple of times as her tastes have evolved. Especially early on, don't lock yourself into a plan that will inevitably change. Im a long time reefers and with my current tank i was building to a vision. But hey, no plan survives first contact with thr enemy. No matter how much I wanted a coral in a particular spot that should have been perfect on paper...doesn't mean it actually did well there.
