Hoping you wonderful folks can help me. I ordered 3 corals from wwc as my first. Pucker Up Ricordea Mushroom, WWC Incredible Hulk Leptoseris, and Neon Blastomussa. But I’m not sure where I should place them. I want to leave room for the future corals and such. Picture attached of my tank. Thank you! Also any tips for keeping these alive would be appreciated. So far I have checked alkalinity, calcium, ph, salinity, and nitrate. All are in good range but my nitrate is a bit high still at 15. Hope through water changes I can get it down before next Friday when these show up.

It depends on your lighting big time. But, in general I would put the blasto on the bottom. The ricordea could go anywhere likely in relatively low flow. But I would put the ricodea on its own rock that’s not touching other rocks as it might take over the tank as it multiplies.

Would it make sense to just put the ricordea on a 4 -5 inch rock on its own up front in the sand?
Any thoughts on the lepto?

They can move I had one in a 12 gallon tank that moved from the bottom of the tank to the top leaving many more behind they all survived until a power outage during a north east winter that my tank could not survive

Good idea with ricordea. I’ve never had a lepto so I would spend some time reading. But it sounds like JGT gave some good advice. But again, without knowing anything about your lighting, we are just guessing.

I also would not be concerned with your nitrate levels. Good luck!

Blastos love really low light. Like literally in the shade. Leptoseris usually likes low light as well. Mushrooms are very adaptable and their appearance usually shifts a bit in different lighting conditions. (Maybe the bubbles get bigger, certain pigments become more dominant, etc)

Thank you all. I have two ai Prime 32s. They are currently set up with the kelsey Lund preset from AI. Not an owner of a par meter. Would a frag rack be a good idea to figure out the depth before glueing?

I feel like this is a bit of a risk. But I couldn’t resist the wwc sale to see if I could pull it off after only a couple months.
