Help with GFO product

I have been using chemi pure elite when I went to purchase from my local reef store they were sold out and had this stuff the person sold me said he uses it in his tank it’s the same thing and it good stuff that he recommends it. So I purchased it I was reading to add it and says to add 1 gram per gallon and to watch coral if thing don’t look right reduce amount . After reading this made me hesitate on adding. Anyone have any feedback back on this product. Would great appreciate any . Thank u in advance

Where it says if after 24 hours issues with coral health reduce by half . I’m just worried of it affecting my coral

Yes GFO will reduce phosphates quickly which can adversely affect coral, what is your po4 at?

When using chemi pure elite I just added the bag and it I didn’t have any issues I am afraid of adding to much and could I just do half or if I follow the instructions I should be good?

Phosphate are 0 ppm I change the chemi pure ever 3 months

You definitely don’t want to be at 0 I would stop using the removers and let po4 come up

So I gonna have to get a better test kit for phosphate I was using api not reading accurately I’m between 0 and .25. Hard to tell exact color I’m purchased some salifert but I’ll have to get the phosphate 1 next

If you can I would splurge a little and get the Hannah for phosphate it is extremely accurate and easy to perform especially with the magnet spinner
