Help with Ich

My blue hippo tang started showing signs of ich so i placed in quarantine and treated with microbe lift herbtana but seems worse. Now she laying on her side near the floor struggling to swim.

Welcome to Reef2Reef and sorry for your troubles!

It may be too late at this point to save the tang, but getting rid of the herbal remedy in the water (I've yet to see an herbal remedy actually be helpful for fish) and swapping it out for either copper (if you have some on hand) or hyposalinity to treat the fish would be your best bet with ich.

My understanding is that copper can take up to three days to start working, and it doesn't look to me like your tang has three days, but if you have other fish, now would be a good time to treat them.

For copper treatment and hyposalinity:
if you want to treat ich effectively, you need either copper medication (chelated copper like Coppersafe or Copper Power at 2.25-2.5ppm for 30 days after the last ich trophonts disappear is recommended) or hyposalinity (drop your salinity to 1.009 and keep the tank at that salinity for 30 days after the last signs/symptoms of the disease disappear)
