So I have this what I think might be 2 different kinds of algae. 1 is growing on the underside of all my live rock (see video). The second is growing on my frag racks (see photo, specifically the stuff growing in the middle of the rack) in my frag tank. Both are plumbed into the same sump.

Parameters:
Alk: 8.45 dKh
Calcium: 468ppm
Magnesium: 1376ppm
Nitrate: 10.1ppm
Phosphate: 0.04ppm

Current CUC: Trocus snails, turbo snails, hermit crabs, bumblebee snails, and 3 tangs for the display.

Frag tank has Trocus snails, turbos snails, hermit crab, and 1 tang.

Assuming someone can help with an ID, I could also use some recommendations on CUC that will assist my manual removal.

Appreciate any advice. 20230904_105804.jpg

Underside growth is more likely to be sponge of some sort, vermeitid snail also precent, and unsure of algae growth on frag rack/egg crate, is it possible for you to remove this ?

Yes I can take them out. I 3D print them every so often to keep them fresh but this algae or whatever it is always makes its way back. There are definitely a ton of vermeitid snails on all the rock work too.

I 3d printed my jump net/gaurd. 3d printing results are very porous materials (there are so many holes and crevices) for any/ all/ algae to grow on that you will never be able to clean, even the best 3d printing machines leave bubbles in design, in my opinion I would avoid this type of frag rack
