Was sold to me as a cabbage coral but im not sure as I can't find any relating pictures

Looks like a Cynarina an LPS, rather than than the soft coral Sinularia brassica/Cabbage coral.
 
I agree doesn't look like a cabbage coral
 
Having trouble finding any cynarina pictures that are the same! I have seen these in other shops so im guessing they are there own species. Looks amazing under blue light I might go back to the shop and buy the bigger one that was bright green
 
It's certainly an LPS coral, but I'm thinking either a Mycedium species or a Pectinia species.
 
Hmm Pectina never even occurred to me.
They sometimes get the common label of "cabbage coral" slapped on them too (think how a colony looks visually, and forget about the softie with the same common name).

I see it clearly now, they do kind of look like a head of lettuce or cabbage (especially the green variety)when they grow vertical and large.
