Hello all

Looking to identify and get rid of this algae/bacteria.

Tank is 11 months old
Coral beauty
Midas blenny
Diamond goby
Two clowns
Royal Gramma

Was dosing carbon for a bit. Stopped as of last week.

Have a media reactor with GFO running

Protein skimmer running

Have some small spots of GHA on the rocks

Have a small turf scrubber in the tank from Santa Monica. Not doing much

Tons of snails and a Pom Pom crab

Carib sea life rock
Carib sea pink Fiji sand

HW salt mix pro

Full RODI 6 stage

Salinity1,024
Nitrate3
Phosphate.03
Calcium390
Alkalinity5
Magnesium1200
Ammonia -0
Nitrite - 0

This started when I switched food to exclusively LRS but that can’t be the culprit I’ve used it before and had zero issues.

I also added some rocks from aquacave but his process is phenomenal so I’d be shocked if that was the issue. The food and the rocks are the only changes in 6 months.

Any help is appreciated

I can brush it off with a tooth brush but it comes back in a few days. It’s not crazy but I want to nip this soon.

I can tell nothing from picture.

Not knowing your nitrate testing protocol or what nitrate test kit you use, 3ppm of nitrate is a very low number that may actually be zero.

It's really hard to tell from the images.
Going to try and get batter pics but honestly it’s looks like a ghost. It’s so faint you can just see the blur moving. It’s strange

Fair enough. The test kit was Red Sea if that helps at all. They are pretty low. Any suggestions for raising if that is deemed appropriate
