Help with Jebao DC-12000

So here's the deal for anyone else interested. ..
They only make the strainer for the dc6000 and they will not sell you one to protect your pump. Also they have no idea what you're talking about unless you refer to it as a "cover". It turns out they do say this on the description of the product but long, loooong after their updates. The "hose" connector is different and nearly useless for the dc12000 as the interchangeable pieces shown in the picture as well. The one they send for the dc12000 is one you cut to size. So if you buy this pump, buy it for the pump and plan to get your own fittings.

One more tidbit. The warranty is void if you complain later that it begins to vibrate. They say that you need to put a foam mat under the pump to keep sand etc out of it which will cause it to vibrate. So put something under it.

I actually had something in my BRS cart for the strainer if the Jebao fell though.

So I calibrated my Salinity probe and threw it in the tank and it dropped 3 ppt. I thought I had messed up the calibration so I made my own calibration fluid with salt mix in a cup and a calibrated Hydrometer (Took me forever to get it exact). Threw the probe in and it was good turned on my DC 12000 full blast and dropped .5 ppt. Not too bad I can live with that, but as I rampped down the pump I could see the Salinity drop. Thought it was EMF interference so I repositioned the pump and nothing. I repositioned the probes still nothing. I was at my wits end till I read the apex manual and it says to drop the probe in a cup of tank water and see if there is a change. To my dismay it worked even with the cup right above the pump that rules out emf so it must be stray Voltage. I haven't measured it to see exactly mow much it is but its enough to affect my system.
