Just an example if a kalk tank. My container was a 20g brute. I topped off the container 4 gallons at a time and had my dosing tube suspended so it didn't pull the slurry. I would clean the brute every few months. Many people have success just adding it via the ATO but my evap rate wasn't consistent enough.

How did you get 7L evap....halides?

Uncovered 180g DT plumbed to a 125g sump in
the basement with a dehumidifier running 24/7

EDIT: IME the container doesn't need to be air tight just covered. @Randy Holmes-Farley used to run his tank on kalk in brute containers.

The past 10 days I’ve been measuring my Alk and evaporation. After a water change my Alk is 7.5 and right before a water change it’s 7.1. My tank evaporates 0.5 gallons to 0.75 gallons a day. My desired Alk is 8.5.
Let's back up.
Do you know what your alk consumption rate is? That will be a starting point on determining how much to dose of any alk supplement.

No @FUNGI is correct at 2 teaspoons. My apologies

EDIT: Personally I wouldn't use a stirrer unless you can not keep up with just saturated kalk. It sounds like your new to using kalk so I wouldn't complicate things until if or when necessary. And then there is 2 part but there's more than one method, Just have to pick the one that works for you. I don't think there an easier method than dosing kalk if it keeps up.
I’m getting good results during day (lights on) with kalk in Ato and c02 scrubber .but at night my ph drops to 7 so I’m thinking about getting a stirrer. Or use the extra dosing head on my x10 to dose the kalk mixture from Ato idk 🤷🏻‍♂️ what you think? My Ato mix is not at full saturation I mix 5tsp in 5gallon Ato atm.

I dosed to keep alk stable and never worried about pH. I have no experience with scrubbers.

I do this same method on my 25gal AIO peninsula. 5-gal home depot bucket under the tank with the lid resting on top and my dosing tubing fitted through one of the "cracks" in the edge of the lid. Keeps the solution mostly covered and holds the tube a little off the bottom of the bucket to prevent sucking up a slurry.
I don't measure PH, just dose alk once an hour every hour using a Kamoer dosing pump.
Last I checked it's keeping my alk very stable.
I chose a doser over ATO because my top-off changes based on room temp and how clean my powerheads are (and thus how much surface agitation and evaporation I get).
