Help with Lightning Maroon.

I have a 3 inch lightning maroon and I was wondering what else I could add with it that would be a safe addition. I have a spotted hawkfish ATM but I plan on removing it. My tank is a 40 breeder. I plan on getting a 90 up and running soon and will transfer the maroon after stocking the 90.
Don't mind the nem, I'm slowly nursing it back.

Did you want another clown?
I would get an acclimation box if you do not already have one. Introduce a smaller non dominate clown to the system when cycled and then move the existing Lightening to the acclimation box for 4-5 days.
My Lightenings were pretty hard to pair and they were tiny. This Maroon is aggressive and new introductions of other clowns or damsel can be problematic and requires a good deal of patience.

For other fish types pick fish with strong personalities like Royal Grammas.

I'm not sure if I want to try to pair it. I put a snowflake in with it about half it's size and the maroon killed it

You are not going to have good luck adding another clown unless it is some type of maroon
