How can help me solve this.....
Solve for L: 3L-30=2L+40

How to do it.
1) Take your -30 from the left side to the right side so its at 70
2)Move 2l from right side to to left ( you have to minus since there is nothing in front of it ie pluse minus times or devide)
3) now you have 1l = 70
4) devide 1 into 70 which gives you
5) L = 70

3L-30=2L+40
3L=2L+70
1L=70
L=70

3L - 2L =70
L = 70

Im not sure if that work is right I just look at it and see the answer. sorry.

When you take the possitive 2L from the right side you need to do the oppisit to both sides so minuse 2L from right and left. That makes 2L on the right side be zero and 2L - 3L ='s L
