I have a frag tank I’m trying to get set up. It is bottom drilled with 2 holes that are
1 1/4” in diameter and sitting on plywood. What size bulkheads should I be looking at getting? Also what diameter pvc should I be looking at using?

Look at bulkhead fitting hole sizes to figure out what size holes are required for the fitting. I’m guessing 1/2 inch pipe for holes that small?

Since that is acrylic you may be able to increase the drilled size but make sure the fitting you buy actually fit in the box!

1.25” is 31.75 mm
Would get a precise measurement and check out this link. Scroll down it has sizes for hole

Good info. Looks like I’ll need 1/2” ones. Any idea how the drain works? I’m envisioning a pvc pipe the height of where my overflow box grooves are, maybe just below? My display tank has an overflow box. I ended up putting a loose fitting cap on the drain pipe, drilled a bunch of holes in the side of the pvc, and drilled a hole for an airline tube to quiet it down. Same principle here?

Yeah, something like that. Would recommend you run a herbie style with the two holes. Will be near silent

Looks good. That’s the route I’m going to go. I’ll just run the return line up and over the back of the tank. Thanks
