I have a reef octopus nb100- and when i set my skimmate up it will skim for a while produce alot of skimmate and then lose its foam?? any idea I have tryed the water lvl at 6 and 8. Once i get the water dept set and bubbles set up; start skimming and later on it falls back down!!!!

Couple things here, if its a new skimmer, its going to be a pain in the butt until it breaks in. If you add anything to the tank food wise, this too can cause issues with foaming. Next would be your system being clean, its not going to skim all the time.

FWIW, break in on a new skimmer could be a few days to a few weeks until things stablize. But it will happen and like RM suggested, lots of variables...
