So I have a prizm protein skimmer. I am re doing my nano tank completely and am currently in the process of cleaning everything. I have the body of the skimmer clean, the inlet pipe, and the collection cup is cleaned. However, there are some spores in an uncleanable area on the triangular guard piece that goes in the water and attaches to the inlet pipe. I don't know the exact word to call it. But I can't seem to find a replacement online. I washed everything in a peroxide, vinegar, and water bath. Do you think this would be ok to use? Or does anyone have any ideas on how to DIY a cover for the intake?

It should be okay but if you are worried try bleach and rinse well after.
