I recently purchased a Neptune ApexPro when looking at my temperature my temperature is about 78 till my lights come on and a pee time it goes up to 80 or so is this OK or should I be concerned?

80 is fine. Ideally 77-78 is a better temperature, but 80 is nothing to be concerned with. At 82 I'd be a little concerned, at 84 I'd start trying to find ways to cool the tank off. If you start getting those temperatures, it might be worth it to invest in some tank fans and program your Apex to turn them on when the temps rise. But at 80, I wouldn't worry about it.

Like @cdemoss01 said, lights produce quite a bit of heat. I don't run my T5s during the summer because of the extra heat, both over the tank and in the room itself.

I think with this very hot summer, many are having issue's with the water temp..... If it gets above 80, you can add a tiny deskfan to fan the top of the water, that usually drops the temp by about 2-3 degrees. Alternatively you can freeze rodi water in ziplock bags, I toss the ice in and let it melt, some leave it in the ziplock bag and refreeze it.
