I’m an idiot.
I am leaving for a week and in the haste to get out the door at 3 am I did not think to check the tank. Turns out I have 5% (6 tests) remaining of Reagent A (Alk). I have it doing 4 tests a day. What can I do, if anything, to ensure that my trident does not have anything happen to it/go wrong.

Ok admittedly do not have an apex, but can you switch the trident off remotely and have your dose simply based on tank historic dosing data?
Its a week, unless your tank is exposed to gamma radiation while your away, shouldnt suddenly use gigantic increases in alkalinity then before you left.

If you’ll have access to Fusion while you’re away, you could switch it to manual mode, then just run the recommended minimum of one test per day. This would stretch it out to 6 days.

The key is to not let the lines go dry. Worst case, you could let it run as normal, then after the reagent is empty you could run the Shutdown task so it purges the lines, then start it back up with new reagent when you get back home.

Not worried about dosing. I have that dialed in. I’m just worried about possible damage to the unit.

I will switch to manual. Do you suggest doing the test at any particular time?

I assume that this is all I do?

Yes, set it to Manual there, and kick off the Combined test from that same menu each day. It doesn’t matter what time, but if you run each test with 24 hours you’ll avoid the “No test in 24 hours” alert.

Got it. Thank you. What sucks is I just got new reagents. They are sitting next to the trident waiting to be loaded.

I’ve done that too. I now have a checklist I go over before every trip to make sure I don’t forget any tank maintenance issues.

The manual says to go through the shut down procedure if it will be an extended time without test.
