First coral added to mytank yesterday... what is this on my frog spawn?¿?

Does that kind of contract open and closed now and then? If you touch it does it retract? Looks like a harmless filter feeding feather duster.

There's like a hard tube that it retracts into. Not a bad thing but depending on your fish selection they can get to crazy populations.

Many fish will eat them, wrasse, butterflies, etc.

Barnacle... if it's spelt right
Had one on my torch before , sometimes the coral lives with it and it's fine , sometimes it irritates it making them close , and sometimes it makes the coral head die , mine died after trying to grow round the barnacle , the barnacle was in the centre of the head

Ah Yeah your probly right the shape of the feather like more like barnacle.
