How high should I hang my t5 above my tank

You don't need to hang it too high off your reef, at my local fish store they have them at about 10 inches from the water line with success but I've seen them successful at greater and shorter distances as well

Wow. I got blinded from just looking at your picture LOL. I suspect the picture makes the glare much worse than in reality

I would say if your corals are all responding well to the light and it seems to be lighting up the tank sufficiently then id leave it where it is...

how old are your bulbs? and that can most likely be a nutrient problem so reducing any phosphates making sure there are little dead spots and regular siphoning of detritus will help get rid of it

How big are the water changes? and what are your parameters like? sometimes in my case it has just gone away on its own but i usually have a lot of flow and i try to siphon as much unwanted stuff as possible
