My waving Hand coral is loosing tips like crazy and I truly haven’t seen anything picking at it. Only real change in the tank was I added a Submergible UV sterilizer could the change in the water from the uv cleaning it cause this?

Would you mind listing your PM's? Wouldn't be to surprised if that's what caused it. If you have a VERY sudden change in nitrates, phosphates etc. it could cause that, depends on how quickly the UV did it's job. How are the other corals in your tank doing?

these in tank uv filters generally cause some flow. Did the flow change a lot when it was on? I'm trying to think what chemistry would change due to a uv filter being added. Heck maybe you had a voltage leak instead of a chem or flow issue? Please keep us updated if you find anything.

So do you think the oversized uv would cause corals to die off my pulsing look funky today
