Acuminatus would be my guess. Can you get another picture without the smudges?

From what I read the best way to tell the difference is the anal fin. With diphreutes the back edge of the anal fin goes straight down at a 90 degree angle from the base of the tail. The back edge of the anal fin on acuminatus angles down. That last picture makes me second guess myself though.

Looks like accuminatus to me. The shape of the anal fin is the best way for me to tell them apart. H. dephreutes has an almost 90 degree angle on the anal fin from the base of the tail. H. accuminatus is more rounded and comes to a point.

The last picture is a little misleading. If I only saw that one I'd say it was a toss up.

Where did the specimen originate from?

Beat me to it!

There are a couple of places where the two fish's ranges don't over lap. One of those is Hawaii which has H. diphreutes but not H. accuminatus.

thx, was curious about if she (i have desided that it´s a She) would pick my corals, but this is my "leftover tank" wich is in my humble opinion turning out just great, but with just a few seriosly fried SPS and she have not even touched them, but then she have only been here for a few hrs. until sundown, knock on ...
