Hi!

So i decided i needed a bigger load and got myself a kole tang. I already have a yellow and hepatus tang. The yellow one dont seem to mind the newcommer (which confuses me since he chased my copperband to its death afew months ago).

So now my hepatus has nipping on the fins of the kole tang which gets really stressed. I knew it was a gamble to introduce another with two established already in the tank.

I've already setup a mirror long the whole backside of the tank which caught the yellow tangs attention. He's been bashing his head in for a good 24 hours now. The hepatus didnt give a rats butt about it and kept chasing the poor kole tang.

The kole tang now resides in a 15L acclimationbox (couldnt catch the hepatus otherwise it would be in the box). Any ideas?

Can i leave the kole tang in there for afew days or should I just realise im defeted and get him another home?

I'm not sure if this will help at all (hopefully others will chime in), but maybe try rearranging the tank? That way all past territories are gone?

Can you catch the Hippo? If so, put him down in the sump and give the Kole a week or so to get settled in before reintroducing them.

Also, how big is your tank?

Try rearranging the rock into two separate parts-- I.e. put a wall in the middle to halve off the tank. Worked for someone I knew.

Sig says OP has a 90 gallon SPS tank, but that wouldn't show in Tapatalk.
