Hello,

Please, can I ask for help with identification of this mushroom. The dive site is Pentanissos Islet near St Paul's Bay, Rhodes. I was told it might be Corallimorpharia but which one?

Looks like a Ricordea of some variety.

Looks like a Ricordea of some variety.

Unfortunately Ricordea are not found in the Mediterranean. Ricordea florida is in the Western Atlantic, the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico. Ricordea yuma is in the Indo-Pacific.
