I recently put some new shells in for my 4 hermits

3 changed shells on the same day but one is just holding/ connected to another shell?

I did pick it up (I know I probably shouldn’t have) and it let go, but as soon as I put it back in the tank it grabbed the shell again and hasn’t moved for over a day.

is this normal?

Hermits are odd little fellas. Quite mean too. But then also very afraid at the same time.
My hermits have done this as well, I wouldnt be too worried. If you see one walking around without a shell then that would be a problem. Mine left its shell to climb the algae on the back wall and ended up dying.
But yeah do not worry about it, it should be resolved soon.

Thanks for the reply, I will keep an eye on them.
I’m new to all this so worry about everything!

one of them has picked a big shell and now isn’t really active as much because it’s hard for him to move about
