I only have hermit crab in the tank i dont even have fish in. but last night i got my first coral for the tank (2 zoa frag with 2 polyp each) and put them in my tank. the morning i look at them they were gone! with the suspect just standing there next to the frag. before i went tl bed i did saw my crab turning the frag around eating the algae around it which i thought was fine but the morning all of them are gone. i dont have any hitchhikers because i use dry rock and sand for mytank and these are my first coral. i even dip them first and squirt them abit to make sure i knock off any pest i couldnt see which i see none of. the only tank inhabitant is the hermit crab

hermit crab species are blue line hermit crab Calcinus Elegans

Likely your zoas were super glued to the frag and dislodged by the hermit. Zoas do not stick well when super glued and not Likely to have been eaten by the hermits. Look around your tank specifically under and over hangs on the sand with your rocks. Dead zones trap free floating things like loose zoa polyps. You may find them.
