I went to my LFS to pick up a Mexican turbo snail, but turns out that isn't what was in the shell. Anyone know what kind of crab I have?

It looks like my red leg hermits-different from scarlets in that they have brown legs and red "feelers". The scarlets have red everything.
Good luck :)

Its an odd one, the antennae are blue but any of the blue hermits have blue legs as well.
Maybe you have a weird morph?

Thanks for the input guys. He's mowing down hair algae like it's his job. Maybe I'll let him stick around a while. Nothing in the tank so far but a pair of clowns and some scarlet hermits and everyone seems to be getting along.

He was a great little fellow, but ultimately one of my zebra hermits killed him for his shell. He was my favorite though, a real mower.

None at all, he was a model citizen and he hid most of the time. He lived in my macro and ate algae all day long. I didn't even know he had passed until i saw one of my other hermits wearing his shell. I would stock my tank with just these guys if I could.
