I just found hermit crab larva in my tank! Is there anyway to keep them alive?

Aw man that stinks lol, how long should they last for assuming they are hermits?Without extensive preparations they are unlikely to survive, this is true of most things that breed in marine tanks. A couple people have bred hermit crabs successfully in captivity, generally a side project of marine breeders. I believe they are similar to cleaner shrimp, Kreisel for the pelagic stage, pods, rotifers and baby brine, as first feeds dependent on size of the larvae, need tiny shells like puka shell during settlement.
http://mbisite.org/ is a great source for marine breeding.
Hard to tell from the pictures would need better magnification to get a clear ID. could be a mysid as those sometimes pop up in our tanks. there are pics identifying both shrimp and hermit larvae in the forum of the MBI site.
