Have any of you ever suspected your hermits might be clipping off some of your zoas? I swear i think i have a hermit doing this.
 
Yes, absolutely. I have even seen large hermit crabs eat LPS, including the skeleton. Crabs are opportunistic feeders, including hermits. I only trust hermit crabs when they're small.
 
I had two blue legged hermits and one kept killing my snails so he's gone. The other one I feed everyday and he is behaving so far but have no problem sending him up the river if needed. lol
 
Ok, glad it’s not just me. I don’t plan on keeping hermits in my system once these die off
