Hermit crabs strange!

I have 2 hermits. Both are still alive and moving as normal but ive just found this pictured below ony sand bed? Do the6 shed skin or anything. I thought one was dead!

I've never seen a hermit crab molt, and I'm not sure that they do. From my experience, it looks like a bigger crab snuffed him. Are there deliberate movements or is he getting moved around by the flow?

They do molt, but generally it's more translucent and sometimes almost clear.

I have 2 hermits and they are both walking and moving......

If you only had two to begin with and still have two alive then it's just a molt
