Just got a shipment in from LA and this guy was sold as a scarlet reef hermit crab (Paguristes cadenati). It doesn't look anything like the other scarlets that came. Is this a variation or something totally different? More importantly, is it (generally) reef safe?



It is redder in person.

I do not know the name but I have a few of those guys and they are mostly chill. They are similar to the tiny blue legs.
