I bought this coral for $100 and a week later it looked like this. Everything else in my tank is flourishing except for this coral. My LFS blames it on me, particulary my placement under 8W lights.
What exactly is "everything else"? It could very well be your fault for not researching what you were going to buy before you bought it.

I've made the same mistake but I didn't blame it on anyone besides myself.

I am not trying to pat myself on the back but, I believe this has already been hashed out in another thread and some of the responses were for you and some were for the store keeper.

Probably best to call it a lesson learned and move on.

In all seriousness though... This is what can happen when you dont research what you buy first.

A word to the newbies. This is a sellers market, take your time and research what you are buying first. In the case of LFS VS you.... You will ALWAYS lose.

What a dumb thing to say. You don't do your research so you blame your lfs.

a Favia, 3 zoa colonies, a frogspawn and a torch, and other small corals that are within my LR. My ignorance to this hobby cost me big time. Not researching what I bought before I bought it, was a huge mistake.

I do call it a lesson learned, I am just trying to prevent newcomers to the hobby from making the same mistake as I did.
