Last night Hewbie was freaking out at me as I was cleaning his tank and throwing a fit! He is the most dramatic fish EVER!😂 Well I know why now! I forgot to feed him. I literally left his food out all day/night sitting right in front of him!😭 I felt so bad I apologized a million times. And he got extra tonight that he ate so fast out of desperation.

What a ham 🤣

We have a cat that demands to be fed every hour on the hour.....doesn't mean that he NEEDS to be fed that often....

Just saying, as you have basically an underwater dog (so sort of like a cat!) 🤣

Best of luck to you and Hewbie!

I saw this last night, but just today I heard the audio 🤣

Is your fish okay? Looks like something is wrong with it.

He was fine! He was throwing a fit because I didn’t feed him.

I wonder if the puffer is acting abnormal because the tank is too small for it.
The tank is not too small for him! He’s very happy in his home and very spoiled/well-loved. It’s a 120 wide which is the same width as a 180 or larger. He likes the sides better and the perimeter which is why I opted for the wider version for turning room.

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one that thought something was off.
He is all good. I had my hands in his tank and got mad at me plus he was HANGRY. He is so smart and personable and when he really is mad he is fully puffed and deflated as soon as he sees me. He’s just a little drama queen and I mean that.

They can get up to 20" long. 180 vs 120 would be a big difference. Large fish need the extra length - not just width. We wouldn't go off of width for tangs either.

Key word can most aren’t. At least usually not in captivity for this species. My buddy has been very happy for the past few years. And they are more commonly seen at 8-14 inches even in the wild as adults. He is incredibly happy and well taken care of and multiple factors will impact growth and it’s not always a bad thing. Thank you for your input but it isn’t needed in this discussion.

If they are in an appropriate sized tank and fed well they do push 16”+
