For me white would be a nightmare to keep clean.
I just let the back get covered in coralline. Its hard enough that I have to scrape coralline off the front glass of my systems daily.
Also in order to keep it clean you will need space between the rock and back wall.
An all white background would look cool if you could keep it clean.

Welcome to R2R! As others have said it will probably be considerably harder to keep clean but it could be striking if you can manage the maintenance.

Hello and Welcome back to the hobby and to R2R! I don't advise having white for the back. How would you clean it? Mine is painted Black on the outside of the glass and I never clean the back glass.
