Hi, I'm New :)

Just wanted to say hi :) This is my first time owning a salt water tank and I'm excited for the journey! Just 'adopted' a clownfish off of my neighborhood fish swap/trade for free and ended up with a gorgeous 16gallon tank (once the algae was taken care of). The tank had been running for over a year and it's cycled.

I also own freshwater planted tanks and so I'm excited by the idea macro-algae, anemones, and soft corals like Kenya tree, pulsing Xenia, and GSP.

Anyone have advice on where to find these in Los Angeles for a reasonable price? Just wanting to create the healthiest environment for my clown without breaking the bank. Sincerely, a broke grad student. I appreciate any guidance!
Hello and welcome :)

You seem as though you have a good idea of what you would like to see in your tank. This is a good, as it is important to design setups around the fish you want to keep.

Your new setup seems like a good jumping off point into the world of reef keeping. But I imagine you will be thinking about upgrading sooner rather than later.

Welcome to the Boards!! I love the softies. Especially the PX. Good luck and good reefing!
