So i Introduce myself, My name is Fred,i'm french and now living since 2008 in nothern thailand.i always wanted to have some fishies and tanks at home but never make the step. Then i move to thailand,open my business,a guest house with bar,and start to make some pounds with koi fish,stingray,and other....And, one day i been to the fish shop and discover they have a marine part....Wow! i looked the show tank and my heart start to boum boum :). I said i want one like that! But i never had a tank before, even a fresh water one, so i asked to the guy what i need for set a tank, and he said, you need this , that... but my feeling was not confident about what he recommended, just a tank, light and a canisher filter.....i was not convince. After when back home , i looked on internet and start to learn,learn, learn.....from some web site and some forum, i registered only one french forum for have information about how to set up a sump.One very nice man help me a lot for that and send me a plan. So i ordered a sump like he recommended me and continu to learn ,learn,learn....after i been back to the shop, and said, ok, now i need this,this,that etc the seller was a bit surprise and also happy i knew what i want.
so i took a 50g tank, a skimmer (a bad one, but nothing else..) lights (Mh 150W and 2*39 t5 ),back home and start to fall in the hobby ! :)
This long,short story , is just for thank internet and peoples from forums, who share them knowledge. And now it's for why i come to R2R, for share with you guys some experiences ( good and bad..) and continu this fantastic,and no end hobby !
I will make a thread later for more details about my tank and my experience.
