Hi R2R :)

Welcome.

Unless you just can’t stand the look of tanks with a euro brace, I’d recommend going with one in your build. Especially if you go with Red Sea. There are many horror stories here on r2r about Red Sea tanks seem failures.

Besides structural integrity, a euro. Race is handy for setting items on it while you are feeding and doing other tank maintenance

Thanks for the tip! My dealer actually mentioned that Red Sea addressed those issues with the G3 series, specifically by adding the euro-brace and reinforcing the cabinets. RS has a great 'Plug & Play' (or 'Plug & Pray' :D) system, but I’m wondering if it’s the right fit for me.
My main alternative is the Waterbox Infinia Reef, which comes with an aluminum frame. I’ve noticed that many people strictly recommend a metal frame for the cabinet — some even suggest stainless steel over aluminum. I'm currently waiting for a quote on a custom build with a stainless steel frame. It'll be interesting to compare the costs.
