hi there,

new to reefing but have experience (multiple tank crash and fail) saltwater fish only tank since 2008. Hope this time i will succeed with your help :)

Welcome. You will need better lighting if you want to keep corals. Share all the info you can about your setup.
Currently i have a 4x1.5.15feet with 2ft sump running skimmer and Chaeto. This tank have running 22 days with live cured live rock and sand from my previous smaller tank that have been cycled for 2 month. When moving to this new tank i've added caribsea Shapes live rock for additional filtration. I've been reading a lot from the forum here, so i'm slowly learning as i go :).

I try to keep my electronic at a minimum under the tank since i had experienced cracked aquarium before.

Some homebrew controller and monitoring i've been working on. any suggestion or commens appreciated, thanks.

thanks, first time i've heard of the phrase. I've had Ich my tank before , wipe out half of the population. Power outage ( i had a friend watch my house for me while on vacation, i accidentally turn off the switch where all my aquarium equipmt connect to) back from vacation to a horror cloudy water and floating fishes :(
