Hi,

I am new to reefing and do not have a tank yet but am looking into getting a 55 gallon. Any advise on where to get the tank?

Welcome! I try to get tanks locally so that I don't pay freight on it and I can see it before I buy it. If you want odd sized tanks any good LFS will have contacts with a custom builder and can set you up. The 55 gallon size is pretty standard and you should be able to get one just about anywhere. If you want it "marine-ready" you might either have to drill it yourself if you feel comfortable (and the glass may be tempered) or special order it.

Welcome to R2R!! My advice would be to not get the 55. I have a 55 and I absolutely hate the narrowness of it. I wish I went with either a 40 breeder or a 75. Good luck with your journey. :)
