Hi all,

first ost so I apologise if it had been asked before.

I recently bought a pair of clarkii clowns from my lsf and they have been pretty happy since. They are homed in a 55gal currently empty other than 2 Halloween crabs.

However over the last two days my smaller has started hiding near the filter.

Is this ok or normal behaviour?
My ammonia, ph and nitrates are all fine. I have also repositioned the wave maker to make more surface disturbance for oxygen.

Little guy at the back in the picture is my concern. He is feeding and dancing with the other yet spends time here.

Thanks in advance for your help,

I have two mocha storms that spent their first couple months together in the front corner. The last six months the bigger one has decided to stay and sleep in the back by the overflow and return line. She comes out to eat and socialize but goes back to her "home" no matter what.

Clownfish are just weird....don't sweat it unless you notice it looks off color or texture, nipped or shredded fins, or breathing heavy.

Thank you very much. Makes me feel a little more at ease.

Thank you.
Would this be a spot for an anemone ?
You can't really make an anemone do anything or stay anywhere. They'll choose where they go.
Not even 100% clownfish will host in a nemmie either.

AND you shouldn't have a nemmie too early anyway.
