I recently moved my fish and coral to a new bigger tank and I've just tested the PH and it is 9!!!
How did this happen?

Test error, unless you dumped a ton of something into it. pH is never too high in an aerated reef tank unless one is dosing an excessive amount of a high pH alk additive.

Testing error. :)

It’s impossible to get 9 pH without overdosing certain alk additives.

Ok well something is definitely wrong.
My turbo snails have died and my urchin is losing spines. Corals aren't opening 😫

Ok it has dropped slightly after a partial water change.

Liquid pH tests don’t work well. They are grossly inaccurate.

I would ignore pH. As long as alkalinity is within 7-11dKH, the pH will generally be fine.
