Hi there , my ph has always been 8.2-8.3 and has raised up to 8.6. Last week 8.3 and my gorgonion has been closed several days. I turned protein skimmer off. I have started leaving windows open and that's the only thing that has changed. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks Al. Dkh 8.3 No3, 2ppm salinity 1.026 , cal 360, mag 1350 temp 78 my po4 showing 0 and usually does salifert brand and my scrubber has has less growth than normal. Unless you are adding high pH alk additives, I expect the pH 8.6 is not accurate. How are you measuring pH?
Salifert ph test kit, 3 times last night all the same 8.6 (blue) I exheld my breath into a hose for a few minutes not sure if that helped but this morning it tested 8.3.i regularly check ph every couple weeks and only did because my gorgonion has not extended polloyps in about a week. Thanks
