Hitch hiker on hermit crab

Hello, everyone. This is my first attempt at making a post on R2R, so I apologize in advance if this is done incorrectly or in the wrong place! I am hoping that someone here may be able to help me ID this small feathery creature growing on the back of a hermit crab.

Not sure. could be hydroids.

Could be a type of barnacle, does it wave like a hand closing trying to grab something?
If it's cone shaped then it might be a feather duster.
Can you get a vid of it?

Due to the amount of feathers, fan worm is my guess. Either way, harmless filter feeder.

it is circular, and the same object is growing on a zoa frag.
