Hitch hiker on Turbo Snail Shell

I found this hitch hiker on my turbo snail a few days ago. It hasn’t moved and I haven’t touched it, so I don’t know what it looks like underneath. Can you help me ID? Should I remove it or is it beneficial?

I thought maybe limpet as well. I’m not sure of the texture, I haven’t touched it, but it looks like it could be hard.

I don’t think it’s a chiton mostly because it’s clam shell shaped. It comes to a point.

I’m going to go with limpet as well only because I remember asking the same exact question 2 years ago when I had a snail exactly like that :grinning-squinting-face: a bonus if anything lol

Definitely not a chiton. It is not segmented.

Maybe a form of sea slug or Limpet then

I know this is an older thread by now, but since it was revived - yes, if it is a Crepidula incurva (or any other species of Slipper Limpet), then it is a filter feeder and totally safe.
