Is it perhaps a tunicate? I'm not sure what we're looking at exactly.
 
Yeah sorry, not the best picture. Kinda looks like a clam to me. Bivalve?

Ya, if that closes up, it's a bivalve.
 
Bivalve didn't make it through the night unfortunately :(
