Hi- I'm kinda new to this stuff...and I need an ID on a hitchhiker that came off some zoas when I did a fresh water dip. Can anyone tell me what this is? There were several of them....the pics are of the same critter but under different lighting. Thanks in advance.

I wounder what they would taste like dipped in chocolate? sorry it's late.

if i find any i do remove them. they arent terrible and can be beneficial in some ways, scavengers. unless they get out of hand or get really big. plus no one likes reaching in their tank and grabbing ahold of one.

Thanks

OK..I just plunked down some change for some zoas and I am soooo paranoid of coming down with something....Thanks very much everyone...

FTW, new zoas are going through a 5-10 minute fresh water (RO/DI) dip followed by a Revive dip for the same time I have been basting them pretty good with a 50 ml syringe too. Seems like the fresh dip yanks the majority of stuff off. Then they go into a Qt tank.

ive never used revive but if i remember correctly its not great to use on zoas? maybe someone else can chime in.
i just do an iodine dip and fw exit. and then inspect with tweezers and pluck off anything that looks questionable. just keep an eye out for spiders and sundials. i also use a scalpel to scrape off anthing on the rock that just looks nasty.
if you get a waterpik you can use it to flush out any holes on the rock. which will help to eliminate critters as well.
