I just received my cuc order this afternoon and it appears I have some sort of hitchhiker in a dwarf Cernith snail shell. I’m assuming it is a super small crab, but I really have no idea. Any guesses on what it may be? Just wanted to be sure it’s not something that needs removed. The video is probably not super helpful for identification, but it’s the best I could capture. The critter is practically the same color as my sand, almost seems transparent, and has faint brown spots.. Possibly at its joints on his legs. Any input would be greatly appreciated

Update: reached out to the seller and he informed me it was a Maclaughlin Hermit. Posting this reply in case it helps someone else with ID down the road. I haven’t been able to find much info about them online, so let me know if you have any care info on these guys. I’m going to let him be, but he seems overly curious of my Halloween hermit. Don’t think he’ll win that fight, but he does have speed on his side.
