So I bought a montipora plate coral today from aqua sd in san diego and thought it was a piece of algea stuck to it but upon further exam its almost like a serpent brittle starfish very serpent like I tried to get a photo but I cant quite picture it
Should I try and remove It is a fairly new 150 G reef tank so I know it was not in there prior. Or is it safe?

If you've identified it as a brittle star then it's free CuC

Serpent stars and brittle stars are not the same. Brittles, including mini/micro ones, are good cuc members. I have hundreds in my tank :)
