Been thinking of adding carbon to the sump, but dont know how to hook up tubes and stuff for the more complicated stuff. Do you guys think it would work if I hang a hob on my sump and fill it with activated carbon? Already have a filter with teddy bear fluff in the basket and a protein skimmer and a sorta-refugium.

I just use the Aquaclear HOB carbon media packet inside my sump. I have a few boxes left over from when I ran the HOB filter. I just tuck it in one of the bubble traps, works great.

Ok, so I could also skip a step and just put a bag of charcoal in a high flow area in the sump  overthinker is me.

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
