Hobby costs are soaring?

It’s not just the prices, but the mean time between failures for some of this expensive crap is insane…
Some of the Neptune gear has been inop out the box….
My wife bought a Aquaclear in the friggin 80’s and it still works…
same for some Maxijets, Jaeger heaters, et…
Anymore I give some Jebao and Hypergrow stuff 3months
The last 2 controllers I bought were the apex jr and the apex el. Both crapped out on me. When the apex el crapped out on me caused me to quit the hobby for the past 8 years. Lost all my fish I grew from babies along as my corals.
