Hello. I had another thread on here about this clown and the story behind it but I thought I’d organize it a bit with a better title for anyone who may have a similar issue.


Started dosing metroplex+Kanaplex 2 days ago. The scab covering the hole must of fell off last night. Woke up to this. Behavior is all normal, still eating like a champ and swimming normally. Will update daily to see if this treatment works

This photo is different than the ones you posted in the other thread - in this case, you can see missing tissue. That is a sign of a bacterial infection, where the bacteria feed on the injured fish tissue, so it tends to make a "divot". I think that your current treatment will help, but antibiotics take 3 to 5 days to stop an infection, and then, it can take quite some time for the fish to regrow the missing tissue.
